Having a great vacation on Tybee Island GA with my husband and two girls as well as my Dad and step Mom. But all things must come to an end. We’re headed back to real life in the morning. I miss my furry kids so much. We weren’t able to bring them with us on this vacation. I also miss my bed and my craft room lol.
Here is my challenge entry for the Lawnscaping Challenge. The challenge was embossing.
It is a birthday card for my step mother.
I used the June 2014 Simon Says Stamp card kit, Hero Arts Mini dye pack called “Quiet Morning”, Peacock Feathers distress ink, and American Crafts white embossing powder.
The technique used here is stamping with distress inks and then using a brush and adding water to the dry image to make it look more like watercolors. I had a lot of fun doing both of these spring cards. I would have made more, maybe a set, if I had more distress ink colors.
Since I am new at blogging, I’d love some feedback to let me know if everything looks okay or if my blog is user friendly or maybe add other things to beef it up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for stopping by.
